Mike Muscala appears close to a return from the right ankle sprain suffered in the season opener. He walked to the court for a pre-game workout without a limp. Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer would not put a timetable on his return but it will likely come soon. … Budenholzer would not commit to saying Thabo Sefolosha and Kyle Korver won’t play in back-to-back games. The Hawks have another back-to-back schedule on Nov. 17-18 at the Nets and versus the Kings. They also have a stint of four games in five nights Nov. 24-28. … Budenholzer entered Friday’s game with 99 regular-season victories. … The Hawks wore their new home white uniforms for the first time. They wore their gray uniforms in first two games.

From the Hornets

Al Jefferson lost 20 pounds in the offseason is down to 289 pounds. The center said the loss has taken great stress off his ankles and knees. Hornets coach Steve Clifford said it has already made a big difference and he expects in two or three weeks he will be back to the third-team All-NBA form from two years ago. … Jeremy Lamb will be available after missing the past two weeks with an ankle sprain.
