Yep, that was a sneak peak of the Atlanta Hawks’ new court design

A portion of the Hawks’ new court design can be seen in the trailer of the NBA 2K16 video game.

It turns out we did get a sneak peak of part of the Hawks’ new court design.

A corner of the court was shown in a trailer for the NBA 2K16 video game released last month in an image of Kyle Korver putting up a 3-pointer in front of the Hawks’ bench. I can verify that this will be the actual design using the team’s new color scheme.

The court will be surrounded in black. The baseline will feature the wording Atlanta Hawks in volt green outlined in torch red. The team’s new feather pattern will also run along the baseline. Volt green lettering will also be used along the sideline. All lettering will be in the Hawks’ new font.

The video game trailer does not show other details of the new court but I would count on the redesigned Pac Man logo in red at center court.

The Hawks unveiled new uniforms and a new color scheme earlier this summer. The video game trailer includes players wearing the new home white uniforms. The team broke from the colors of red and blue and switched to torch red, Georgia granite gray and volt green. This necessitated a change to the court design.

The Hawks have yet to announce the new court design. They may or may not do so before the team’s first home exhibition game on Oct. 14 versus the Spurs.
