Game Thread: Hawks end trip vs. Hornets

The Hawks end a two-game trip tonight in Charlotte after Wednesday’s disappointing loss to San Antonio. It will be a quick turnaround as the Hawks host the Knicks on Saturday.

Just a couple of notes to set up the game so you have a place to post:

* I’m very pleased that the talented Carroll Rogers will be covering the game tonight for the AJC. Anything she writes is worth reading. Look for her post-game coverage. I will still have a post-game blog of my Five Observations.

* As you know, rookie Adreian Payne will not play tonight due to plantar fasciitis in his left foot. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (rib contusion) is listed as probable for the Hornets. Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports he is still a game-time decision after going through workouts.

* With the Braves season over, the Hawks are taking over . In a manner of speaking. I will conduct a weekly online chat on Tuesdays as David O’Brien did with the Braves. We did it once last year and it was awesome. Looking forward to that. I will pass on the exact details on Monday.

* The new-look website is here. We want your feedback. I understand that some folks (not just Sautee) are not happy with the new blog commenting. Please let me know what you think, what you like, what you don’t like. Drop me an e-mail (cvivlamore@ajc.com) and I will forward it to the proper authorities.
